Nothing could be finer than to be given a wonderful birthday dinner party with TGG, Mr. B, and 30 of my favorite friends from all over the country.

Yippee!!

CELEBRITY UPDATE

Forgot to update the celebrity sightings as late.

Tivoli Cafe Lunch: Stuart Copeland having an Italian Sandwich. Cool glasses.

Venice Beach: The Britster with her Dad at the new JJ Chill (stupid) walk-up cafe.

Carbon Beach: David Geffen saying goodbye to weekend guests.

MOVING AND MOANING

If you were going to move a very heavy, solid wood, tall bookcase, who would you NOT ask to move it?

I'd say the four slender delicate creatures known as Bluebelly, TGG, The Hair, and Anti-Nan. Well, it's moved, and we were successful. Only one mishap, The Hair got a splinter. Ouch.

COLLISION

While on the way to TGG's guitar lesson yesterday morning, we had an incident. I was maneuvering the Behemoth along Sunset coming through Brentwood, when suddenly a black Mercedes smacked into the right side of us. It was very scary and loud.

We pulled over and I made TGG get out of the car with me because my heart was beating so hard. The Mercedes driver explained that her right wheel had hit the curb and it had made her car jump uncontrollably into mine. TGG felt the car door bump into his leg! Needless to say, the Mercedes sustained much more damage than the Behemoth, and the woman kept apologizing over and over. What can one say? It was obviously an accident, and I don't think she was being negligent. Her little daughter was in the car, and I for one know how weird it is to drive Sunset with all the uneven road and curves that don't curve gently.

Well, the Behemoth has some damage that'll have to be repaired, but I can't really tell how bad it is because the vehicle is still really dirty from the rainstorms and mud slides. I'll get her washed up today, and do an inspection. I secretly wished that Mercedes had totalled the whole truck, but then, TGG and I might not have made it over to the guitar lesson.
