It is raining cats and dogs, and I am obligated to go out in the mess and drive. I would rather stay home, drink green tea, and follow along with Emeril (BAM!), but I promised a friend that I would visit. I'm sure I'll have a great time once I arrive, it's just the transit down the freeway that doesn't sit well right now.
I accomanied Tall Daughter to the vet to retrieve the grief-stricken LK, and she meowed more in five minutes than I will ever hear her in her entire life. Poor LK. She is sure to engage in some major sulking and brooding once she arrives home to Venice.

It's eerily quiet here at home. Just me and the drunken squirrels in the back yard. If I had magic powers, I would make the Christmas tree just "poof" and disappear. I'm not looking forward to taking that thing down. Oh well, all those needles flying all over the place will probably add a very nice aroma to the environment. Here goes.
