C-note and I watched "Harold and Maude" this afternoon. I love Maude. She reminds me a bit of my Granny Betty. I hope I still have the spunk when I'm pushing eighty. Looks like it is likely to happen, considering the family genetics and all. Only, C-note believes that I'm going to live until I'm one hundred and four. Well, okay then.

Alrighty then! After a long, warm bath, Mr. B has finally succumbed to slumberland. I seem to have gotten a thirteenth wind, and am enjoying listening to C-note pick out "Stairway to Heaven". I am only slightly delerious, only slightly, yet life is still wonderful and I am still young and beautiful.

Oops! Yes, I'm completely delerious and in need of sleep. And getting old(er). SHHH!!!! Don't tell anyone, please not yet, please. I can still raise an eyebrow or two, especially with the younger crowd. No, not those homeless guys behind Mrs. McCloskey's apartment. Geez!

Mr. B has been up now for 19 hours straight. He has just requested blue french fries. No sign of slowing down. He's a machine. Even the Terminator is no match for Mr. B.

Mr. B is now rollerblading around the house while eating the wax from a tea candle.

C-note and I had a wonderful lunch today with Mrs. McCloskey in celebration of her birthday. She was unable to accompany us to the movie theatre due to her spanish test. C-note and I saw the movie, and I have to say, it's definitely now on my top ten list of all time. Go see "Whale Rider" if it comes to your town. Music by Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance. Pure HEAVEN. Ahhhhh.

Well, Mr. B has been up for 17 hours now (yes, that means he got up today at 2:00 A.M.). He's looking a little ragged, but showing no signs of actually hitting the hay, or passing out. Either way, as soon as his body finally gives it up, I'm also slipping under the sheets like a boneless chicken.

Well, it's about 8:30 a.m. and I'm the only one up so far at our house. Good time to meditate.

Fortunately, I received a $200 dollar credit from Costco when I returned the white TV with the faulty VCR. So, that would take my AmEX charges down to $350, which I understand from other Costco shoppers, is not entirely unreasonable. Don't you ever get curious about those odd-ball Costco shoppers who stand in long lines just to buy ONE ITEM???

Say it isn't so!!!!!! Did I really spend $550 at Costco today???? Even though I was being conservative, carefully weighing each purchase, putting back most of the stuff that I considered buying, I left with a huge charge on my American Express card. Well, at least Mr. B got a new 25" television and new VCR (Costco now sells VCRs for the low, low price of $54!). Also got a new Thomas Guide, a first aid kit, bing cherries, and seven toothbrushes for $8. Quinn bought olive tapenade.

Mr. B awoke at the crack of 4:00 A.M. It's only 9:40 and we've been up for almost six hours. Not that anything worthy has been accomplished mind you. I did manage to set off all of the smoke alarms when I poached my pear.

I only had two errands to do. The doctor appointment, then Ralphs. Upon arriving home and unlocking the door, I realizied that I forgot to go to Ralphs. I'm nuts.

Returned a day early from the flatlands of Egypt, Texas (now I know where they got the saying "Bumf**k Egypt"). Assimilation is going very well. I'm more integrated than I thought. After eating an organic, ayurvedic diet for two weeks straight, I eased right into popcorn shrimp, french fries, and caesar salad with lumpmeat crab at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. Nice flight, only two screaming babies, arrived early into LAX. In bed early. Slept with Mr. B, who wore his festive red underwear to celebrate our reunion. Slept in past nine. Dolphin card for the day: Relax. Well, okay, I will.
