HOW TO CATCH A SEAGULL

According to our resident expert in trouble-making, err, I mean trouble-shooting, TGG reports the following method works quite well when a seagull is desired:

First, have a friend lie down flat on his back in the sand, arms outstretched in the Jesus Christ crucifix position. Next, cover the friend head to toe with a beach towel, then use another beach towel crosswise covering the friend fingertip to fingertip. Now, sprinkle bits of food all over the towel shrouded friend, stand back and wait.

Soon enough, a hungry seagull will fly in. Begin reporting immediately to the towel blinded friend the distance between the seagull and him. Three feet, two feet, one foot, he's IN! Towel Friend swiftly brings his arms together, trapping the hungry seagull in the towel. Celebrations all around. Slowly open the towel and observe the confused seagull.

Let the seagull go hoping that he won't tell all of his buddies the seagull catching method. Carry on with more trouble-shoo . . . . . . making.

CONFESSION, I DID A BAD THING

I didn't have dinner last night (I can't remember why), and I had to get up at 5:20 ayem. I got the younguns taken care of by about 8:30 ayem, and sped over the hill for a 10:15 appointment, which gave me about an hour and a half to kill. You know how it is when you have time to kill and you are really, really hungry and all you can think about is getting something to slay the gnawing, growling, gnashing MONSTER in your gut? Well, I succumbed to the monster and after getting a coffee at Starbucks and passing up all the muffins, cakes, croissants, and cinnamon thingamajigs, I headed directly to . . . . . . .

BURGER KING!!!!!

I got a Junior Whopper WITH cheese thank you very much.

Sometimes you just have to break the rules (self-imposed obviously) and do the bad thing to slay the MONSTER. I actually think that is written in the Bible somewhere.

Burp.
