Today, I started thinking about food, and cooking, and I realized that there is some aspect of my personality that isn't easily satisfied with routine. Life can be so banal, and I get bored really easily. So, I tend to amuse myself by fiddling around with life, creating little bits of beauty wherever I can.
Right now I'm marinating Cornish Game Hens. Check.
RECOVERY COMPLETE
Well, it seems as though I've finally recovered from the Thanksgiving holiday. Why I seemed to need a lengthy recovery period is anyone's guess, as it was a very lovely, fun, and relaxing time. However, I have a few suspicions, as you might expect:
a) it's been in the flippin' FORTIES here, which . . . . . I'm speechless . . . . . is way, way, way too cold for any Angeleno. My guess is that when interfacing with such severe temperatures, all my systems shut down unanimously to preserve life.
b) after an extended period of all out MANIC (not maniac) activity prior to the holiday, I crashed into MELANCHOLY post celebration. Family all went home, cat's lost their fake nails, forgot to use my $20 certificate to Nordstrom before it expired. Dummy.
c) I secretly wanted to just sit in my sweet little bungalow and admire all of the snazzy upgrades that took place thanks to the
I/O and his alter-ego, Handyman Extraordinaire. Mrs. I/O isn't too shabby either. Peace, quiet, contemplation.
Ah well, now I'm feeling the beginning stirrings of another frenzy-filled wave of excitement.
Yipee!!! :-)
